[ translate ]

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Doc Rough Practice Animation Drawing Group of 2 by Bill Tytla (Walt Disney, 1937). "I'd like to dance and tap my feet, but they won't keep in rhythm," Happy sings. The other dwarfs yodel and follow along on their instruments during "The Silly Song", Doc leading the group on his bass. These practice drawings were created for about 52:11 at the start of the musical sequence, rendered in graphite and graphite with color pencil by Disney Legend inductee Bill Tytla (1904 – 1968). Tytla is often referred to as one of the greatest animators of all time, working at Disney, Paramount's Famous Studios, and Terrytoons during his nearly four-decade long career. He is best known for his work Dumbo, Pinocchio, and Fantasia where he animated memorable characters like Chernabog, Yen Sid, and Dumbo. These historical practice drawings give us a closer look at how he worked, as well as additional insight into the making of this groundbreaking film. The full figure poses measure roughly 2.5'' x 4.75'' and 4.75'' x 4.75'', one including an alternate pose for Doc. There is light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, faint debris, and superficial wrinkles on one page. Very Good condition.
