Walt Disney Studios - The Lion King (20th Century)

[ translate ]

The Lion King "Be Prepared" Pair of Early Development Storyboards Attributed to Larry Leker (Walt Disney, 1994). "I know it sounds sordid, but you'll be rewarded when at last I am given my dues and injustice deliciously squared. Be prepared!" Scar doesn't hold back in "Be Prepared", a song that remains a beloved favorite for many after almost twenty years. This lot features two pieces of early development storyboards for the memorable sequence and is attributed to the amazing storyboard artist Larry Leker. These remarkable, expressive drawings are rendered in conté crayon and capture Scar starting at roughly 28:05. These pieces would have been used to get a feel for the movement, positioning, and emotion of these dramatic scenes, establishing the foundation for the iconic final version of the song. The drawings are rendered on 8.5'' x 5.5'' and 10'' x 5.5'' paper, measuring 7.25'' x 5.5'' and 8.5'' x 5.5''. In Very Good condition with only minor edge and handling wear and pinholes from studio use, you'd better be prepared to add these to your collection!
