Walter Hollis Stevens (Tennessee, 1929-1980) watercolor landscape painting depicting a scene with fallen trees, many of which lack foliage or have become fragmented, set in rocky terrain under a cloudy grey sky, rendered with abstract and naturalistic techniques in shades of black, green, and grey. Signed and dated "Stevens '62" lower right. Housed and matted in a painted wood frame under glass. Sight: 18 1/4" x 23" W. Framed: 27" H x 31 1/2" W.
