The Italian painter, sculptor, and engraver Walter Valentini was born in Pergola in 1928. In the early 1950s, he attended the courses of the school of Fine Arts in Urbino for five years. There he learned the techniques of lithography and chalcography. In 1955 he settled in Milan, where he has been regularly exhibiting since the 1970s. His production is characterised by a precise sense of structure, proportion, and rhythm. Ancient treatises on perspective and on the golden ratio guided all the artist’s research on space, shapes and their balance. Architecture, astronomy, and cosmography were also an important source of inspiration for the artist. Wonderful etching on deckle edge paper, signed and numbered personally by the artist. 1990s edition, handcrafted steel frame that looks perfectly with the work design.
