Tankard with Bird on Rock Decoration : Thuringia, c. 1740 Oval reserve on the front in a bandwork cartouche with a bird on a rock base and flowering shrubs, framed by palm branches. White glazed faience with blue painting on a manganese jaspered ground. Pewter mounted stand and lip rim, lid with godrons and ball pusher. H. 25 cm. - Hairline cracks, restored rim, the beginnings of the handle reinforced by pewter rings. // Walzenkrug mit Vogel-Fels-Dekor : Thueringen, um 1740 : Schauseitig in einer Bandwerkkartusche ovale Reserve mit Vogel auf Felsensockel und bluehenden Straeuchern, gerahmt von Palmzweigen. Weiss glasierte Fayence mit blauer Bemalung auf mangan jaspiertem Fond. Originale Zinnmontierung. H. 25 cm. - Haarrisse, Randrestaurierung, Henkelansaetze durch Zinnringe verstaerkt.
