Wassily Kandinsky (1866 – 1944) was a Russian painter and art theorist who is credited with being one of the pioneers of abstract art. He believed that abstract art, free from representational constraints, had the power to express universal truths and transcend material reality.Kandinsky's abstract paintings are characterized by bold colors, dynamic shapes, and rhythmic compositions. He often used geometric forms, such as circles, squares, and triangles, to create harmonious compositions that conveyed a sense of movement and energy.
