Wayne Davis Impressionist Boat Painting

Connecticut, Illinois,1904-1988
Titled "Pirates of Lubec," depicts three young men hanging out on a beached boat with a town in the background. Davis studied at the Guggenheim School of Aeronautics at New York University and the Art Students League, combining the two interests he became an accomplished aviation artist well known for his aviation scene painting, seascapes, and landscape paintings.

Signature: Signed and dated "Wayne Davis '67" lower right, label titled and dated "Pirates of Lubec 1968" on verso.
Condition: Very light dirtiness to surface along top edge, otherwise good condition, presents well. Please refer to photographs.
