Wearable 8th C. Viking Rus Silver Ring

Northern / Eastern Europe, Baltic Vikings / Viking Rus, ca. 8th to 12th century CE. A beautiful 88% silver ring made from a thick bar that is shaped into a loop- the thick terminal tips pushed together to complete the circle- and the shank tapers and narrows towards the center. This ring is still wearable and has some areas of dark patina, but the band is intact and quite lovely for the simplicity of the form! Condition Report: Surface chips and abrasions throughout. A few areas of darker patina and toning, but otherwise intact and very good. Wearable- please note the opening size- the shape does not fit accurately on a ring sizer and US ring size has been calculated.
