** Webley Mark IV War Finish with Holster

World War II
.38 S&W. 5" barrel length. SN: 88947. Rough black finish with appropriate WAR FINISH mark on left frame and mounting Webley logo black synthetic grips. Double action top-break auto-ejector revolver with six shot cylinder. Sights consist of a forged front blade made in one piece with the barrel, and a latch rear notch. Model mark along the left topstrap reads MARK IV .38 with the right frame displaying the ENGLAND export marking. The topstrap is struck with the manufacturer marking WEBLEY & SCOTT LTC. Item shows British military broad arrow markings with {Crown/BNP} Birmingham proofs visible on all major components, including each chamber. Left barrel is struck with pressure proof data, and the butt is fitted with a lanyard loop. External finish displays the rough tool marks typical of war finished examples of the Mark IV Webley. Comes with a khaki canvas holster with brass snap showing maker marking UNITED CARR/CANADA. Holster is otherwise unmarked and has a tied own only and no flap.

Arms, Armor & Militaria Fine. Bore is Very Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Finish fading to gray over the gripstraps with some scattered light scratches and a light turn ring. Grips show some scattered mars and handling wear, along with some chips to the upper edges. Holster shows some stains and handling wear overall, a caramel patina to the brass components, and a cut down toe. Action exhibits good timing.
