Weegee (American, 1899-1968) Send ‘Em Back Where They Came From! (6 works), April 21, 1937 Gelatin silver Each 8-3/4 x 6-3/4 inches (22.2 x 17.1 cm) or the reserve and slightly larger Four with A. Fellig credit stamp on verso. State Kicks Out Laborer, 4 Children Under New Law. There's a new law which provides that nonresidents of the State may be shipped back to their home States if they become public charges. Well, the Benedettis are the first to be deported under that law. They were returned to Uniontown, Pa., today; it cost less to ship them than feed them. Condition Report: In overall good/very good condition. Each with scattered small creases mostly around the edges. Two with water damage along the upper edge. One with a 1/2 in. square loss to the center of the lower edge and hard creases across the image.
