Wenchang Wang also known as Wenchang Dijun, is a Taoist deity of Chinese mythology, known as the God of Culture and Literature. He is also sometimes referred to simply as Wen Qu, or Wen. The literal translation of his name would be King of Culture or Flourishing Language. Wenchang Wang is physically represented by a constellation of six stars near the Big Dipper. He sometimes holds a pen and a book that says "Heaven determines literary achievements".
Dehua's 'Blanc de Chine' porcelain was noted for the quality of its kaolin, whose white tone of great purity produced a beautiful unctuous glaze that was always respected without adulteration with any color.Undoubtedly, this porcelain enormously sought after since the Tang dynasty, was destined for figures and objects of great importance.
