Additional Information: A full parure of vintage portrait jewelry, this pendant necklace has matching clip back earrings and a matching wide enameled hinged cuff bracelet with a safety chain. The pieces all have the same romantic Victorian couple, she with a fan and each bending their heads together. The pics are some kind of transfer process that look like a painting because the painted transfer area are textured with the smooth under surface which has a sheen to it. This makes the portraits look like real and small paintings when viewed at an angle. The backgrounds are cream colored enamel and the earrings and pendant are marked WHITING DAVIS. The pendant necklace has the hang tag and the earrings are marked on the clip backs. The bracelet is not marked but has the exact same picture. It is a hinged enamel bangle with a safety chain and it is a full 1 ½” wide with an inside diameter of two inches by 2 ½”. It is in excellent condition with a minor discoloration in the enamel around the clasp for some reason, but is feint and not a visual deterrent. The pendant is 1 ½” by 1 ¼” without the bail and the rope chain is 22 inches with a spring ring closure. The earrings measure 1 ½” by 7/8” and the backs look like they have suffered some loss in the gold tone, but from the front all is well and the clip backs work great. All pieces have sawtooth or dogtooth style trim and a rolled border. A unique set of portrait jewelry, this Whiting Davis set is rare and beautiful, wearable and collectible.
