Who - The Studio Albums - 11 The Who records - limited edition - Box set - 2012

[ translate ]

In original but opened shrink, never played.

A (limited!) vinyl box set with all eleven studio albums by the band. Long-time Who colleague Jon Astley has remastered them all in 24/96 format and they are released on heavyweight virgin vinyl.

This strictly limited box has been created with the utmost care to ensure that it looks as good as it sounds: Full colour, matt laminated and painted with spot gloss contrast effects, the box contains the restored six-fold folding cover of " Tommy” along with his 12-page color booklet.

“Face Dances” comes with the original 24x24 poster inserted. “The Who Sell Out” also appears with the 20x30 poster of the original 1967 edition. The crowning glory is the restored Quadrophenia photo book by Pete Townshend and Ethan Russell. Shot over two weeks in photo sessions in London, Brighton and Cornwall, the first edition cost £10,000.

The Studio Albums Box Set includes:

My Generation (1965)
A Quick One (1966)
The Who Sell Out (1967)
Tommy (double LP) (1969)
Who's Next (1971)
Quadrophenia (double LP) (1973)
The Who By Numbers (1975)
Who Are You (1978)
Face Dance (1981)
It's Hard (1982)
Endless Wire (double LP) (2006)

The Who are number three in the British rock triumvirate. The godfathers of punk and hard rock bands like AC/DC and KISS. They are the inventors of power pop. The godfathers of neo-mod bands like The Jam and Brit-poppers Blur and Oasis. At the same time, The Who are also the gurus of grunge.

The entire career of the mod fathers - from their youth anthem “My Generation” to our century - is presented in their “Studio Albums Box Set” in a quality like never before.
