William A. Kendrick was born in Birmingham, Ala. His family had moved to Waco, where he lived most of his life. He was exhibiting as early as 1927 in the Waco Cotton Palace Exhibition. In 1936, the San Antonio Light newspaper described Kendrick as "one of the best landscape artists in Texas." The Light also mentioned Kendrick's "highly polished pencil-drawing skills." Kendrick specialized in landscapes. An exhibition of paintings by William A. Kendrick and sculptures by Richard Hamorszky occurred during May and June of 2014 at the Art Center of Waco. Dimensions:
