The Core Vessel series reduces the vase to its core: a solid, smooth, almost geological volume, from which the opening seems to emerge through erosion rather than by turning. In this tall version—the most slender in the series—the 60-centimeter vertical silhouette asserts the presence of a domestic sculpture.
