Willett Family Estate 8 Year Bourbon '1789b' Private Barrel Selection (Barrel 1434)

Selected by 1789b in Spring 2012 from a lot of less than 50 barrels. The speculation is that this bottle is Buffalo Trace wheated distillate—distilled around 2003—and it was one of the potential mashbills being tested to carry on the Van Winkle line. For whatever reason, Buffalo Trace ultimately sold off this run of barrels to Willett.
