Condition Report:
Relined. There are two visible areas of patching to the lower third of the canvas and a further area of repair next to the smaller of the two patches. Craquelure, surface dirt and surface scratches throughout. There is a small area of undulation to the canvas, lower left corner, possibly caused during relining. There appears to be some light bitumen damage to the dark pigment scattered throughout. Rubbing and associated loss to the framing edges. Inspection under UV reveals retouching throughout and traces of a green cloudy masking varnish.
