Footnote:

The present drawing is based on the portrait of George III in Sir William Beechey's large-scale painting George III at Review painted in 1798 and destroyed in a fire at Windsor Castle in 1992. It was engraved by A Cardon and published by T Cadell and W Davis on 1st March 1809.

Condition report:

The paper appears to be in a good condition with no signs of major damage to its surface. There are however signs of discolouration and surface dirt throughout with some patches of foxing present upon unpainted areas around the depicted figure. Furthermore, on close inspection, there are minor signs of fading to the black wash used to describe the figure's hat.
