William III Oyster-Veneered Olivewood and Kingwood Cabinet on Chest
Formerly a secretaire now with a pair of doors, formerly a fall front, opening to an arrangement of pigeonholes sliding forth to recesses above a prospect door opening to three drawer over a recess and flanked by short and long drawers, one drawer to upper section with printed 'W. & J. Sloane Furniture' label with inked inscription 'S 1455', the backboard of upper section with black inked 'S 1455' and yellow chalked number '5228', the bottom with black inked '5228 / 398'. Height 60 1/2 inches (153.7 cm), width 43 inches (109.3 cm), depth 19 1/2 inches (49.5 cm).

Condition Report: Formerly a secretaire, the fall now converted to doors and with later hinges, the front veneers laid down on later boards, old marks and scratches, losses, restorations and replacements to veneers throughout, especially to insides of doors, losses to moldings, age cracks to doors along lines of former construction underneath, and to sides of both sections, brasses replaced, formerly fitted with bun feet and now with later bracket feet, scuffs to plinth and feet.
