William IV Mahogany Leather Top Writing Desk

British, 19th century, molded top with burgundy and gilt tooled leather writing surface, one side with two dovetailed drawers with mahogany linings and mother of pearl escutcheons, other side with two false drawers, set on leaf carved reeded legs with turned feet with brass casters, 28-1/2 x 44 x 39 in.

Condition Report: typical shrinkage and warping to top with distress to leather, including stains and cracks, brasses replaced, one long drawer formerly fitted with dividers, now lacking (drawer bottom with removable window), scattered bumps and wear especially at corners and legs, some sun fading
