William Lycett (New York/Atlanta, 1859-1909), hand painted porcelain center bowl having grape clusters and leaves overall, and a gilt band on the rim and foot, incised maker mark for Joseph Schachtel (Germany, 1859-1920), on the bottom 'J S Germany 3,' having no apparent artist signature, printed mark above the glaze on the bottom 'Wm Lycett Atlanta GA,' 7"h x 15.25"dia. William Lycett is the son of Edward Lycett of the New York based Faience Manufacturing Company. The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art holds works of both father and son in their collections.
