Signed "Will M Snyder." to the bottom left corner. The work is titled in the artist's distinctive hand to the reverse of the canvas, but the title is quite faded and all but indecipherable, appearing to include "Jefferson Co." Presented in a gilt gesso frame that measures 24 1/4" x 32 1/4".

Provenance: From a private collection in Mission Hills, Kansas.
Condition Report: Poor to fair condition. There is a notable tear to the canvas in the lower left quadrant. There are three very small punctures to the canvas, each accompanied by a slight amount of flaking to the paint layer (one among the tree roots, one near the top of the tree, and one in the left-most branches). The colors appear darkened with age and accumulated grime. No in-painting, over-painting, or other repairs visible upon blacklight inspection. There are losses to the gesso frame.
