.22 Short. 24" barrel length. SN: 264495. Buffed grey patina overall with straight walnut stock and corncob forend mounting dovetailed front blade and rear notch sights. Top of the tang is marked MODEL 1890/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK, along with a vacant screw port behind the hammer. Top of the barrel shows both the 22 SHORT caliber mark and two-line address reading MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PAT. JUNE 26. 88. DEC. 6. 92. on an octagonal barrel. Serial numbers to the tang and forward receiver match. Rifle mounts a crescent shaped steel buttplate.

Arms, Armor & Militaria Fair. Bore is Dark with faint rifling and patina and pitting throughout. Metal finish shows a gray patina overall suggesting it was buffed bright at some point. Upper surface of the barrel, receiver, and bolt shows mottled brown patina and oxidation. Wood furniture has receded from the edges of the metalwork indicating it has been sanded. Some scratches and abrasions overall.
