Winchester Model 43 Bolt Action .22 Hornet Rifle with Lyman Peep Sight
Manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. circa 1950, this Winchester Model 43 bolt-action rifle is chambered in the desirable .22 Hornet cartridge. Designed as a lightweight varmint and small game rifle, it features a 24" blued Winchester Proof Steel barrel with a hooded blade front sight and is equipped with a Lyman 57A receiver-mounted adjustable peep sight. The barrel is roll marked with the two-line Winchester address and "MODEL 43 - .22 HORNET -" and bears Winchester proof marks on both the barrel and receiver. The blued bolt action features a two-position safety and detachable 5-round box magazine.
