Condition Report:
Original canvas. The work appears in very good overall condition with strong passages of impasto.

A small tear along left side of upper edge where canvas folds over stretcher. Some small spots of paint loss along right side of extreme upper edge. One or two losses to impasto tips and one or two very fine lines of horizonal craquelure towards the centre of the composition. There is a small indentation in the brown pigment in lower right quadrant, only visible under a raking light.

Under ultraviolet light, some areas fluoresce within the upper part of the white section which may relate to retouchings; otherwise no signs of retouching elsewhere.
