Witold Adamczyk - PNIE

[ translate ]

\Artist: Witold Adamczyk
Technique: Acrylic on canvas\Signature: Hand signed
Witold Adamczyk was born in 1966 and was largely creatively inspired by the 1980s. The 1980s were an era of developing global capitalism, political turmoil, global mass media, wealth disparities and distinctive music and fashion, characterised by hip-hop and electronic pop music. This had a big impact on the generation of artists who grew up in this day and age. The fall of the Berlin Wall in the late 1980s marked the end of the Cold War, but the era was also marked by the African famine. At that time, the leading art movements included Neo Geo, The Pictures Generation and neo-expressionism, which was especially true in Germany, France and Italy. Artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Jörg Immendorf, Enzo Cucchi, Francesco Clemente and Julian Schnabel were important artists who worked during this period, alongside Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Kenny Scharf, who founded street art and graffiti movements, which quickly gained an influential reputation. This item is from a private collection. The frame shows traces of wear according to age. Any damage and unevenness visible in the photos are part of the description. In case of shipment, Art Dumay reserves the right and the possibility to remove the glass so that a good shipment can be guaranteed at any time. Viewing of the lot is always possible.
