Signed and dated ‘Jogen 19.3.95’ and signed and initialled in Bengali along lower edge and further signed, dated and inscribed ‘7 / Woman: VII / by Jogen Chowdhury / Dry Pastel Black / Size: 72 X 56 cm / year: 1995’ on reverse
Condition: The paper tones of the original are slightly creamier than the catalogue illustration. Minor spots of staining visible around the lady’s breasts, as visible in the catalogue illustration. Further minor spots of staining to the lower portion of the work, as visible in the catalogue illustration. Minor scattered creases throughout the work, partially visible in the catalogue illustration, with one more prominent horizonal crease running between the inner portion of the breasts. The paper is slightly undulating within the mount. Not examined out of frame. Overall good condition.
