A wonderful Eastern Mediterranean stone head of a youth, c. 7th - 5th Century BC, with Kore-like features including large almond-shaped eyes, wide, arched brows, pursed lips and hair styled back in ridges. The expression is quite placid and the piece has incredible presence and style, as well as size. H: 12 in (30.4 cm). Mounted on a custom wood base. Ex collection of Milton Gerard Mallon.
