This vintage late 19th century German silver spice box is designed with a magnificent detailed repousse' floral motif. Multiple flowing vines & leaves & roses overwhelm the footed box.Amidst the flora one finds unmonogrammed polished shields. A large elegant sculpted silver rose adorns the lid cover & serves as a finial. This hinged lid opens to reveal a gold washed interior. The under surface of the box is stamped with hallmarks featuring a crescent moon a crown 800 followed by a crown over a shield identifying Germany as the country of origin.
