Wood Log Wall Column

A large-scale vertical decorative piece fashioned from a natural tree trunk section. The timber has been debarked and the surface finished to a smooth, warm brown luster. The reverse of the log is cut flat to facilitate flush mounting against a wall or architectural pillar. The exterior features several prominent, trimmed branch stubs that have been sanded and polished to reveal the internal wood grain. Naturally occurring seasoning cracks and fissures are visible throughout the length of the piece, characteristic of large solid timber. A separate paper sign on the wall next to the object reads $79. 13x85
