World War II Japanese Army Military Silk Rising Sun Flag with Leather Corners
WWII Japanese military war flag, specifically a 16-ray Rising Sun (Kyokujitsu-ki) design. The flag is constructed from a lightweight silk featuring a visible diagonal weave pattern. The central red sun and radiating rays are integrated into the material via a printing or dyeing process. The sun is positioned in the center of the field, consistent with the design used by the Imperial Japanese Army and for general military use. The hoist side is fitted with two triangular, brown leather reinforcements at the corners, each equipped with white cotton attachment cords.
