Wright, Frank Lloyd

189. Wright, Frank Lloyd. Autograph Letter Signed "Frank" to his ex-wife Maude Miriam Noel. 1 page. 8vo, single sheet written on one side of Auditorium Hotel stationery; light wear, creased at folds, margin tear at top fold.

Chicago, 1920s [1200/1500]

"Miriam - Got here and called you at 2:30. Got word you had gone to Matinee to return at 4:30. Since 4:30 I have waited here about one hour - to keep the appointment as promised. I think there is nothing you can say to me to change what has already taken place. I have nothing to say. Whatever there was in me for you is absolutely dead - even anger. If you wish to befoul the affair I can not help it. It is necessary for me to look after some work that I neglected, to come here and I can wait no longer. If you have anything to say to me that will affect an amicable separation of our affair you may write to Taliesin. If not I will take the initiative. I will return there early in the week."
