Wulfenite Ahumada Mine, Guadalupe y Calvo, Mun. de Guadalupe y Calvo, Chihuahua, Mexico "A long thin ridge of calcite covered with orange covered somewhat flattened blocky wulfenite crystals to about a half inch. Got this specimen from Earl Calvert's collection when I sold it for the family." - Rock H. Currier You could almost consider this a stalactite, but the Wulfenite didn't grow down from the ceiling of a cavity, it grew over a thin flake of 'wall rock' breccia in an open fissure. A rather brash and forceful specimen, it stands up and says: "Hey! Look at ME!" Suitable for the collection of an outgoing, dynamic extrovert, maybe a CEO, or a television host, it sits upright in its custom acrylic base.
