Y A CHARLES II OLIVEWOOD OYSTER VENEERED, SPECIMEN WOOD AND BONE MARQUETRY MIRROR CIRCA 1680 The frame of cushion moulded form, the leaves depicted with green stained bone 94cm high, 80.5cm wideProvenance: The Property of a Lady from a Derbyshire Estate Condition Report: Mirror with the marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. The expected old minor splits and chips. Some old moulding repairs. Small section of moulding lacking to lower edge of frame.Bevelled mirror plate and backboard are later replacements. The mirror plate has some minor depletion in places. Two apertures to the back of the mirror from where the mirror once had a cresting attached.
