Y A French Vernis Martin parquetry and gilt metal mounted serpentine fronted display cabinet, with associated top, 154cm high, 83cm wide, 42cm deep; and a similar small Vernis Martin bijouterie table, 73cm high, 46cm wide, 33cm deepProvenance: Private collection removed from 9, Royal Crescent, BathCondition Report: Both items with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, some chips and losses, The cabinet is missing the glass to the door - this has never been present at Dreweatts and replacement glass would need to be sourced by the buyer. This has been later wired for electricity, the top lifts off to reveal the holes where bulbs have been fitted - there was probably supposed to be a marble top which again has never been with Dreweatts and a new one would need to be sourced by the buyerThere are two glass shelves, these are supported on later screws - they are not originalThe velvet with wear and signs of age and use The table with an uneven surface overall, various marks, stains all overThe metal edge lifting to the topThe hinges appear to be later, there are later inset sections of timber to some areas of the rails Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
