Y A GEORGE IV ROSEWOOD AND SPECIMEN PARQUETRY LAMP TABLECIRCA 1825On four square pillars and a quadruped base with compressed bun feet57cm high, 57cm diameterProvenance: Supplied by Robert Kime Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use.Old splits and chips.Of generally solid structure with some movement to the fixed top.Some lifting to veneers of the top - this should be relatively straightforward for a restorer to rectify.Some losses to veneer along the side edge of the top.There is a large split to the underside of the base that is only visible from underneath.There is a number of additional drilled holes to the underside of the top, likely used to re-secure it previously.Castors appear original, there is a chip of loss to the base of once foot adjacent to a castor.Some chips of loss to the edges of the baseThe joints of the tops of the legs previously re-secured and with evidence of glueIt is possible that there was some adaption to the tops of the legs where it joins the block.Possible slight reduction in height could have occurred.Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.Condition Report Disclaimer
