Y A George III mahogany sideboard, circa 1780, incorporating satinwood banding and fine chevron stringing, 90cm high, 163cm wide, 74cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useSome old chips, losses, and replacements to veneers and inlaysThe drawers have all been lined with baize, this appears fairly recently applied, this has obviously obscured the rears of the drawer fronts and the handles and therefore the handles cannot be guaranteed to be the originals. They are sympathetic with the overall appearance of the sideboard.Overall this has a cleaned and polished appearance, some old marks beneath the polish and there are some old, deeper scratches and an old split to one edgeOverall solid and stable Previously with a rail to the rear, this has been removed and the old screw holes filled, stained, and polished to disguisePlease refer to additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
