Y A Victorian figured walnut, porcelain and gilt metal mounted writing desk or dressing table, circa 1870, 116cm high, 118cm wide, 62cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useThe leather inset is possibly the original, it has a series of vertical indentations (probably cigarette burn marks) and also scratches and indentationsThe porcelain elements appear to be intact, there is losses and wear to the gilded elements of theseThere is some dirt and discolouration to the gilt metal areas, to one side the metal edge has lifted from one side The top of the dressing table appears to have been affixed slightly off-straight - there is a darker tide mark where this has previously sat - it does not appear to be able to set this straight at present. There is one key present that appears to be the original, this opens all locks present - these are also assumed to be the originals along with the remaining 'hardware'.Overall this appears to be solid and stablePlease refer to additional images for visual reference to conditionCondition Report Disclaimer
