Y A walnut, tulipwood banded and ebonised inlaid oval centre table, 19th century, with Breche violette marble top above a frieze fitted with an arrangement of opposing drawers and slides above shaped sabre legs united by an undertier, old paper label to one drawer I R also marked to one interior rail, 79cm high, 76cm wide, 59cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, The marble with old chips and losses to the edges, some of these have been filled with composition which has discoloured and turned yellow-brown and is quite noticeable, there are patches to each of the longer sides, there is a natural fault which also has some signs of having had filler appliedDue to the weight at the top overall the table feels unsteady however the joints appear to be holding securely The drawers later paper lined, some signs of woodworm to the softwood linings Some old splits and cracks especially to the undertier, old chips and losses throughoutSome woodworm to elements of the legs, this has been filled previouslyCondition Report Disclaimer
