Worked in smoked hobichiku (fern-leaf hedge bamboo) and rattan; yotsume-ami (diagonal plaiting), and nawame twining, knotting on the rim, the triangular plaited base with a hexagonal opening, the integral hanging chain of rattan, the hanger cut from a piece of bamboo, signed on the edge of the lower rim Hosai saku; with a wood tomobako storage box inscribed outside the lid Hobichiku tsuri hanakago (Free-Hanging hobi bamboo flower basket), signed inside the lid Hosai saku with a seal Hosai, 9cm x 28.5cm (3½in x 11¼in) excluding the hanging chain.
