YUGO ZASTAVA M76 8MM MAUSER MILLED SNIPER W/SCOPE
SERIAL NUMBER: 52351. BARREL: 21". CALIBER: 8X57 MAUSER. This historically accurate Yugoslavian Zastava M76 Sniper/DMR package is chambered in its original, hard-hitting 8x57mm Mauser caliber. Rather than a modern commercial copy or caliber conversion, this rifle was meticulously built using an all-matching original military surplus parts kit mated to a premium, US-made milled steel replacement receiver. This exceptional setup represents the apex of Cold War Warsaw Pact sniper technology, combining the extreme battlefield reliability of the Kalashnikov operating system with a heavy-duty machined frame and a heavy match-grade barrel built for long-range precision. True to original Yugoslavian military blueprints, the receiver features deep, sweeping oblong lightening cuts machined into both sides near the front of the frame directly underneath the trunnion area. The legal US serial number 52351 is stamped cleanly inside the front-left oblong depression, perfectly matching the original Yugoslavian factory serial stamps found on the bolt, bolt carrier, and dust cover. The heavy-profile 21-inch barrel is outfitted with the iconic Zastava front sight block, which features a muzzle device cut with four unique slots forming interrupted trapezoidal threads on the top and bottom. This highly specific feature was originally engineered by the military as a quick-disconnect mount for a tactical sound suppressor. Mechanically, the rifle retains its authentic magazine-assisted Bolt Hold Open (BHO) configuration. The bolt locks to the rear strictly when an empty magazine is present to give the marksman an immediate visual and tactile indicator that the weapon is dry, and the bolt automatically slams forward the moment the magazine is removed. Completing this premier collector's package are two original 10-round steel magazines with an original ZRAK ON-M76B sniper scope [p-a-distributing.com]. This factory-original Yugoslavian 4x24mm combat optic features a stadiametric range-finding reticle and an elevation turret bullet drop compensator (BDC) calibrated specifically for the military 8mm Mauser round. CONDITION: Excellent. Operates normally. MODERN 27-324
