Yari spear with high class koshirae - Tamahagane - Japan - Edo Period (1600-1868)
Great Yari (spear) from momoyama or first edo period. You can see perfectly the tamahagane steel, hada grains and forging patterns. Take a look to the special desing of the blade, designed for penetrate easily in Samurai yoroi armor. Take a look on the amazing Koshirae made from gold and red japanesse laquer, a very nice work. The yari is in very good condition. Not rust. Not hagire and not fatal damage, of course. Please see the close-up pictures for amazing details.
