Yasuhisa Kohyama (Japanese b.1936) Large abstract wood ash fired ceramic form, inspired by Japanese Shigaraki ware, of globular organic form with organic fired surface and tones dependent on the placement of the piece in the kiln and the action of the wood ash. Incised signature Yasu to the base. Provenance: Francine and Benson Pilloff Collection.
