It is an 8 day car/pocket watch produced by Concorde for Tiffany and Co circa 1900. Gold Tiffany & Co Car Pocket 8 day Watch Enamel dial & Original Pouch
A Tiffany and Co car clock/watch, gold case. Completely original with original enamel dial, signed Tiffany and Co and original Rhodium hands.
Originally created to sit on the dash of one’s car, being of value the driver would then remove it from the dash, placing it into the pouch for safe keeping.
Original Tiffany and Co pouch present. Circa approximately 1900. Impressive 8 day movement which would keep time for 8 days before needing to be rewound, quite a feat of engineering for the era.
Movement running, keeping good time over 24 hours. In a wonderful gold case, showing some light signs of wear as is expected with such age.
Dial nice and bright with some hairline cracks to the enamel as photographed, the Rhodium hands nicely patinated. Pouch nicely patinated also.
Rear of the gold case can be opened to reveal the movement, made by Concorde for Tiffany and Co.
An interesting and substantial piece measuring approximately 63.75mm excluding the crown and 69.9mm with the crown. Weight 120.3g
