Fascinating and quite rare items relating to the long-running disputes over the ownership of Yerba Buena Island (a.k.a. Goat Island) in San Francisco Bay, now the anchor of the Bay Bridge between San Francisco and Oakland. There are no copies of the first item listed in OCLC (it is not to be confused with a similar pamphlet, numbering 6 pages, dated March 25, 1870, also by Turner). There is one copy of the 1878 printed letter located, at the University of California Berkeley.
Condition Report: The 1st is good to very good; the 2nd fine.
