West Turkestan, c. 61 x 32 cm, late 19th century, these tent strut covers, sewn together to form a pouch, were tied above the strut ends for safety during travels, as was also the case with the present specimen decorated with ashik-like “Dogajik” motifs, excellent condition, the original loops and cords have survived.
