Yoroi - Lacquer, Silk, Steel, leather - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

This nice dark red Japanese Samurai armor with green silk ropes, was made during the Shōwa period. This armor is life size, wearable and displays nicely!

The type of Samurai Armor is called an Otaru Yoroi. This Yoroi is complete with: Dō (cuirass) , Kabuto (helmet) , shoulder plate, arm guards and leg skirt and shin guards. The armor comes with stand and wooden transport box.

The Fukigaeshi, Dō and transport box all bear the mon of the Katabami family.

Condition:
Very good condition, only minor age related wear and discolouration. No damage.
