Condition Report:
The panel consists of a single plank that is flat and stable. The image reads very well beneath clear, crisp varnish and no retouching or repairs are visible to the naked eye. Under UV inspection, scattered minimal retouching is visible in the background areas, concentrated at lower left, upper right, and on the right edge, as well as in the dark area of the center background above the figure. The varnish fluoresces unevenly in areas such as on the window pane. Overall the painting is in good condition and should hang in its present state. Offered in a decoratively carved giltwood frame.
