biography:

Balykov Yuri Evdokimovich – was born on April 17, 1924 in the village of Pliskiv, Vinnytsia region. Graduated from the Kiev School of Applied Arts (1951) and the Kyiv Art Institute (1958) . Mentors: O. Shovkunenko, V. Puzirkov. He worked in the field of easel painting. Member of the Second World War. He participated in republican exhibitions (1960) , all union ones (1965) . Main works: "Nella casematta" (1961) ; "Extrastudente" (1963) ; "T. G. Shevchenko "(1964) ; "The Most Honorable Guard" (1965) ; "The Trio of Bandura Musicians" (1967) and others. The artist died in 2003.
