Histoire: La seconde génération des calibres avec triple calendrier, phases lunaires, était le Zodiac Z 74 d'après les calibres AS. Ce mécanisme automatique a été développé conjointement par Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux and Zodiac. Au début les
Zodiac utilisaient un calibre AS 1402 N, on y trouve aussi parfois un
Zodiac Z 74 comme dans le cas de cette montre.
Le calibre AS 1402 N était le premier calibre, repris plus tard par
Rolex. On connaît bien le fameux brevet réf. 6062 enregistré après que celui d'Adolph Schild ait expiré.

History: The second generation for automatic calibers with triple calendar and moonphase was the caliber Zodiac Z 74, based on the
AS calibers. This automatic mechanism is a joint development by
Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux and Zodiac. In the begining Zodiac also used the caliber AS 1402 N, one can find both in Zodiacs. The first generation caliber AS 1402 N was later part of
Rolex when patent ref. 6062 was registered just after the patent of
Adolph Schild had expired.
